Single Family Homes

Trash and recycling collection for the Single Family Homes is being handled by McCullough Rubbish Removal. Regular waste disposal service is every Friday.

As a reminder, trash and recycling should be placed at the curb the evening before the scheduled service day. Please have the containers oriented so that the horizontal metal bar is facing the street so that the truck’s hydraulic arm can lift the container and empty it into the truck properly. Please try to fit all trash and recycling into the two provided containers (96 Gallon for Trash & 65 Gallon for Recyclables). If you have overflow, McCullough will take up to four (4) trash or yard waste bags.

If you have a bulk item to dispose of (e.g. furniture), you will need to schedule a bulk pickup. Please contact McCullough at 215-943-7470 and say you are from Riverwoods at New Hope. Our service includes one (1) bulk item per unit per month without additional charge. A fee may apply for special items. Any associated fee is the responsibility of the resident requesting the service, not the Association. Please be sure to schedule pickup of your bulk item before placing it out for collection.

Also, please note that McCullough uses a split body truck, which means that there are two separate bins within it, one for trash and one for recyclable material. Both bins will be controlled by the one driver. All containers should be placed 5 feet apart and away from mailboxes and fire hydrants in order to limit any potential damages from the outreach of the hydraulic container-dumping arm.

Townhomes

Trash and recycling collection for Riverwoods Townhomes is handled by EnviroGreen. Trash collection days are Tuesday and Friday. Recycling collection is Friday. One (1) bulk pickup per month is allowed but must be scheduled in advance at 215-343-1662. You will not need to provide an account number, simply state “Riverwoods at New Hope Townhome Association.”

EnviroGreen does NOT supply recycling or trash containers. Residents must use one self-purchased recycling container and a separate self-purchased trash container. You can typically find these either online or at Home Depot or Walmart. The recycling container must be clearly marked “RECYCLING.” Recycling stickers for the container can be purchased online.

As a reminder, per our townhome rules declaration, trash bags are not allowed to be placed on our lot. Containers must be used.
